Parker’s Swiss wine selection

Presented by Alexandre Truffer

Swiss wines, long ignored by Robert Parker, the influential wine critic, have finally been included in The Wine Advocate.

Visitors were able to explore with Alexandre Truffer, associate editor of the wine revue Vinum, a selection of the Swiss wines that caught the eye of this most renowned – and most controversial – wine guide.

GASTRONOMY

Fish and fine wines from the Lake Geneva region

Presented by Alexandre Truffer

Born from the gourmet imagination of Patrice Gilbert, Chef Au Fil de l’Eau in Clarens (15 points at Gault & Millau), a selection of carpaccios, terrines and tartares from Lake Geneva were enjoyed with a selection of exceptional Lémaniques crus proposed by Alexander Truffer.

GUEST OF HONOUR WINE TASTING

Elegant wines from Moldova

Presented by Gheorghe Arpentin

Hosted by Gheorghe Arpentin, Director of the Moldavian Wine Board, this workshop allowed to taste white and red wines from two indigenous grape varieties, Feteasca Alba and Feteasca Neagra.

These traditional grape varieties are ideally adapted to the continental climate of the country. Their distinctive aromas and their fine and elegant acidity make them racy wines of great delicacy.
